BETWEEN AUSTRALIA, THE CARIBBEAN AND HUMAN HEAT. DOLPHIN

Gorras Hanukeii Dolphin

For lovers of dolphins, these elegant, brilliant mammals that advance jumping over the sea water, that do not allow themselves to be defeated by any other marine species and that, in addition, are endowed with great intelligence, if you want To go where the most dolphins live, you should travel to the coasts of the Caribbean Basin and the islands that surround them, since they are the most conducive to finding the spotted dolphin, the spinner dolphin and the spotted dolphin.

How was this discovered? Very easy; A group of researchers from Brazil, the United States, France, Holland and Venezuela embarked on the ARC Providencia ship for two weeks on an expedition that received the title “Potential distribution patterns of three species of Stenella dolphins in the Caribbean Sea; with emphasis on the Seaflower Biosphere Reserve” and which took place in the western Colombian Caribbean. In this study it was determined that the spotted dolphin is located in the ocean waters that cover the archipelago of San Andrés and Providencia, and that the Tornillo dolphin is distributed in the areas where the slope of the continental slope is located.

These dolphins are, of course, in complete freedom and establishing contact with them is not always an easy task, however, there is a beach in Australia called “Monkey Mia”, but which is better known by the name “Dolphin beach” because dolphins have been approaching the shore for almost 50 years and seem to forget that they are wild animals, and seem to want to establish contact with humans.

Local legend says that this began to be the case when a woman began to offer them part of the fish that her fisherman husband collected. This practice soon became a custom and more and more dolphins came to the coast to visit this peculiar woman.

Little by little, the story of this woman with the dolphins spread and has reached our days converted into a tourist activity in which visitors can also feed the dolphins. This attraction may be a source of controversy, however, those in charge of the Sharks Bay marine park, declared a World Heritage Site, make sure that there are no attitudes that could deteriorate the health of the dolphins.

Monkey Mia beach is known because dolphins establish a peculiar type of communication with humans, emanating a surprising naturalness.

In addition to dolphins, the waters off the coast of Monkey Mía are also home to sharks, whales and turtles.

At HK we have released a collection of caps inspired by dolphins; in the spotted ones, in the screw ones, in those who come to communicate with us and in those who live fully in the cold waters of the Caribbean.

THE MOUNTAINS OF CHINA ARE A GOOD PLACE TO REST. PANDA

Gorras Panda Hanukeii

The Panda bear is one of the most beloved animals in the world, this may be because of the positive connotation that we attribute to it; good-natured, calm, tender and pleasant.

The Panda Bear lives in Asia, mainly in the area of Western China, in the regions of Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu, but it is the province of Sichuan that everyone knows as the home of the panda bears . If you want to know exactly where to find them, you should go to the Min Mountains (Sichuan and Gansu) and Qinling Mountain (Shaanxi).

However, although to a lesser extent, we can also find these friendly animals in countries close to China, such as Myanmar and the northern part of Vietnam.

Due to the great attraction that Panda Bears have for humans, there are many reserves, zoos and parks where you can visit them, although, as pleasant as it may be, these animals also deserve to live in their natural environment and wild, since the panda bear has never been a domestic animal. There are numerous associations that ensure the “freedom” of the Pandas and have achieved that the population of wild pandas has grown by almost 300 individuals during the last 10 years. With this, there are almost 2,000 pandas in the wild.

The WWF group supports the Chinese government in its National Conservation Program for the giant panda and its habitat by uniting a network of nature reserves populated by pandas through

of ecological corridors. This project has the objective of uniting populations that have been isolated. Today there are more than 70 nature reserves.

All the efforts and care that has been given to this species have borne fruit as the status of the panda has dropped according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) from “Endangered” to “Vulnerable”. ”.

We have launched a tribute collection to the Pandas to celebrate that more and more of them live freely, and to celebrate having a species around us that we consider such a friend.

IBERIAN PASTURES IN MAY. DEER

Gorra Deer Red/Grey

The deer is a species that spreads throughout several areas of the world: Western Asia, where it is said to have its origin, Great Britain and, of course, Spain.

We recently visited a farm in southern Spain where many families of deer were raised. To see them we had to cross the pastures in off-road cars and move through the trees and dirt on the ground.

We have never seen so many deer so close, so calm, eating, resting, developing their antlers, running and jumping. We went in a month in which the females were a few days away from giving birth, and many others had already done so and were walking calmly with their babies, clumsy and scattered.

Deer are animals, also elegant and agile, and movies and novels have always told us that they are coherent and that they have something like a reinforced mental strength.

We wanted to bring out in Hanukeii a cap that represents this animal that inhabits so many places in Spain, and that offers a visual spectacle if you are lucky enough to see it in an environment so unique, in which it feels so free, like a pasture in the middle of May.

We hope this article has helped you know where you can find your favorite animals. We are already packing our bags to embark on a trip that begins in the San Andrés archipelago, continues through Monkey Mia and ends in the high mountains of Min and Qinling. Are you joining?
